I created a guild with metahuman y-up, but if I create a controller with build from skeleton, it will be X-up.
Am I following the wrong procedure?

Not every control will be Y-up. It depends on the alignment of the other parts of the component. If you need a basic control that has a specific orientation, you can use a control_01 component.
