Can one use mGear in Maya LT? Is it fully supported?
That is a good question. Theoretically they could work BUT you might just have issue with the solvers due to compiling incompatibilities between the full and LT versions of Maya. I would say, give it a shot and let us know 
I’d very much like to know the answer to this as my Indie license will only last a year then I’ll be looking at Maya LT. The full license is too expensive right now.

I installed the month trial for Maya LT and attempted to install mGear by using the method of copying the location into the maya.env (MAYA_MODULE_PATH=E:\mGEAR\release).
This is the same path that is currently working fine with Maya 2020.
Unfortunately mGear wll not install in Maya LT this way.
Maybe it is not compatible, that would be a great shame as I’m sure there’s lots of game developers using this sort of Maya license that would benefit from mGear.
as far I know Maya LT doesn’t support python or plugins.Only MEL
