How can I edit Spine_01_ik component so it creates FK control for the first joint?
Here is a workaround that doesn’t need to edit the component.
Do you just want to be able to rotate the entire spine at once from the bottom? In the Shifter biped template, the spine is parented under body_C0_ctl, which is a simple control_01 component.
I also add a hips control to my rigs, which my legs live under. So I can control whether the lower body follows, depending on a space switch.
So you can just do something like this and parent the legs under a different control:
And then you can have another COG control that parents both the body and hips, so everything can follow.
