Is it possible to add an image to a button in AnimPicker?

I have a question regarding the buttons that can be created in the AnimPicker.
(I apologize in advance if this sounds more like a personal request than a technical question.)

  1. Is it possible to add an image to a button in AnimPicker?
  2. Also, is there a way to make a button non-selectable (i.e., not respond to clicks)?

I would like to set a background image in the picker. However, when I use “set background image”, the scrollable area seems to be limited to the bounds of the image, and I am unable to scroll freely.

When no background image is set, I’m able to scroll freely across the picker area. So I thought that adding an image to a button (and disabling its selection) might be a possible workaround to simulate a background image.

mGear has been incredibly helpful and easy to use, and I truly appreciate all the hard work that goes into its development.
(This message was translated from Japanese, so I apologize if any part of it is unclear.)

If I recall correctly right now it is not possible. But I am planning to improve the picker in the near future. I take note of the idea

Thank you for your reply!
I’m really looking forward to the future improvements to the picker.
I truly appreciate all the work you’re putting into it.

You can have a background image, and you can edit the background image to align with your buttons, and make the buttons transparent, and add symbols that look like image-buttons in the background image.

It is not the easiest workflow. And there was a time I experienced the background image being a different size on a high density monitor. So it might not be a 100% reliable workflow if you have many animators on different kinds of machines.

Thank you very much for your comment!
I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge.

You can have a background image.

I actually tried once to see if I could add an image to a button, but it became a bit too difficult for me, so I gave up at that time. However, after reading your advice, I’d like to try it again when I have some time.

I see, so the appearance can change depending on the monitor…! Since I’ve only just started using the AnimPicker in mGear, I’ll also go through forum posts to learn more.

Thanks again for your helpful input!
