Issue when creating new poses with the RBF system

Hello, i am currently working on a rig and have used RBF’S on the model and there were no issues until i began to work on the facial RBF’S, i do not know if this is caused by issues related to ghost joints that somehow make the rbf’s break when attempting to create them but i am having a very strange problem.

When i go to create a pose, the skin returns to the neutral pose while the control maintains a new neutral pose permenantly until i delete the pose that was created. When i try to delete the setup i get an error that states “ValueError: More than one object matches name: brow_L2_ctl_npo”.

When i rebuild the rig and rename the duplicates so that there is no more error when deleting and create a new rbf from scratch i still get the original bug with the mesh returning to the neutral pose and the controler retaining the new position. If needed i can upload a video showcasing the bug or pass the file i am currently working on.

Any help is welcome as i am honestly at a bit of a loss at what could be causing the issue.

Hi @sakaro

Do you have more information about the error? For example the complete error log?

Also, may I know the mGear version and Maya version?

Thanks!

Hi miquel,

The mgear version is 4.3.0, maya is 2022, and i am not getting an error when creating the rbfs which is why i am so confused, the error only appears when i try to delete the rbf.
Here is a video showing what happens when i attempt to create an rbf.

this is the error i am getting when attempting to delete

and this is what it looks like when selecting the controls that will be used in the rbf

for additional info in case it helps, the eyebrows have been made using a similar process as the sliding lips in the tutorial for facial rigging, as in i am using ghosts to have the eyebrows follow a sliding surface.

Thanks for the feedback I will check it ASAP
