Job Title: mGear and UeGear Developer for Maya and Unreal Engine

Location: Remote (Hybrid option for Tokyo-based candidates)

Time Zone: Preferably close to Japan Time Zone (JST)

mcsGear, a Tokyo-based company, is seeking talented and passionate developers to join our team and work on the mGear framework for Maya and the new UeGear framework for Unreal Engine. Both mGear and UeGear are open-source projects under the MIT license, and all of your work will be published as open-source. If you have experience in Python and C++, and a passion for the CG and game industry, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain mGear framework for Maya and UeGear framework for Unreal Engine.
  • Collaborate with other developers and artists to create high-quality tools and solutions.
  • Provide technical support and address issues related to the frameworks.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Python and C++.
  • No minimal experience or title is required, but examples of work are needed.
  • Preferably, provide a GitHub account with examples of your work.
  • Ideally experienced in CG and game industry with Maya and Unreal Engine, but not required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, Spanish or Japanese (if you can understand a little bit of English).

Employment Terms:

  • 3-month probationary period.
  • Remote work, with a hybrid option (remote and office work) for Tokyo-based candidates.
