Hello,

Any ideas?

Hello,
I’m currently using mGear 4.0.23 and the mouth corners are not properly oriented when I build with the lips rigger.
Thanks!
i am also running into this exact problem. mgear v4.2.2 maya 2024. if anyone has any ideas… i tried selecting different edge loops for the mouth, since that often produces different results, but it always builds (and functions) asymmetrically in the corners for me on some rigs. i’m using the same base body template for all.
ok, i think i figured it out. i believe this happens when the Lips Thickness attribute on the Lips Rigger is set incorrectly. in my case, i was using a value of 0.40. when i lowered that to 0.15, the lips built correctly and function symmetrically.
Thanks for the hint! I’ll give it a test.
My current workaround is to build two mirrored control_01 for the mouth corners and override the lip controllers in the hierarchy.
I’m trying to find my post script, because I swear I’ve been fixing those rotations since 2019.
But I can’t seem to find it. But if the thickness setting can just be set, that’s even better.
have you guys been able to verify that “lips thickness” fixes the problem? just curious if i just got lucky or if that does in fact work.
I went all the way down to 0.01 and it was still off. If I set the thickness to 0.00 it seems to work.
interesting. ok, thanks for checking.
