I would like to know how can I load the mGear from a custom path ( I mean non Maya path) so that I can share the update with others on the server.

In Maya.env:
MAYA_MODULE_PATH = /YOUR/SERVER/PATH/HERE/mgear_4.2.2/release

I’m not sure what you are asking. It is a mod file.
I mean that I would like to share it on a server. What would be workflow for that?
