Mgear doesnt show in the top panel 2023 or 2024

Mgear is not showing on the top bar I already used version 4.09/ 10 and 11.
I have Pymel installed.

The tool says that is installed but I cannot get the top menu there.

I already reinstalled and deleted everything by hand and by the control painel.
Dont know what to do anymore

This message appears I always put allow

For the plugins: If you click that “learn more” link it brings you to the help: Help

I guess you could fix your preferences, or store your Maya prefs/plugins/modules somewhere other than inside OneDrive. (But I’m just guessing.)

For the menu problem, you said you tried “10 and 11”. Do you mean you already tried version 4.1.1 and still see the menu problem?

yes,

4.09
4.10
4.11

Yes I tried with the protection off in maya, also with antivirus off
I also already placed out and seems to not work

Also tried on maya 2022, 2023 and 2024

On a new attempt I tried working on 2020 and worked nicely.

Problem is that everything is in 2023+ so I cannot open rigs etc :frowning:

And yes I have installed Pymel

For Maya 2024 I also follow this:

Screenshot_3 Screenshot_4

Also already try to upgrade and downgrade pip and pymel versions

I tried this and i’m the admin and also its something that only happens in maya 2023.
I also try to run maya as admin but didn’t solve it

I tried this I still cant see the top bar but I can load stuff using python.
I will reinstall windows again to see if it finally fixes this T_T

Ok so after to many hours on this I reset windows then I installed and nothing worked.

So one last thing to attempt to remove all windows anti virus, system securities etc and then it worked and now I have it solved. :sob:

Wowww… that sounds like a pretty dangerous solution…

Hi,
I found pymel folders in this path:
C:\Usersuser\AppData\Roaming\Python\Python312\site-packages

Python312 and Python311

One option to install pymel manually is to download it from the official repo and copy the pymel folder manually on the scripts folder of the Maya user configuration in Documents.

btw: we are working to remove the Pymel dependency
