Need a Recommendation to Improve the Setup for Simple Props

I used a Simple Rig, converted to a shifter rig and then processed using the Game Tool to separate the rig and mesh data.

My problem is that the Reference and Connect script adds 2 transform depth hierarchy for my asset to export. Then when that asset is exported, then imported into the engine the geometry is includes invalid skeleton nodes that are essentially junk data.

Does anyone have experience with a clean export process with shifter and Game tools?


I’ve also noticed after I use the Import and connect in a fresh file I’m getting a duplicate transform. The copy with the trailing 1 is correct, the first one is just broken and can be deleted.

As of now I’m fixing the issue with the export to engine by just unparenting the mesh and joint nodes so they’re free floating in the document base.
