"neighbourConstraint", synonymic "ideal driven key"

I have long dreamed of such an opportunity (in Maya):

  • edit points of animCurve (driven) via direct connections
  • use ONE curve with different time arguments (as many inputs, as many outputs)

and recently found on the internet:

Alas, the latest supported maya version is 6.5 (beta).

What are the current alternatives?

One current alternative is to use a remapValue node. You can drive the Value and Position of the curves. But you don’t have any tangent controls, except setting it as clamped/linear/spline/smooth.

But to get multiple outputs, you need to fake it. I wrote about the technique here:

The other alternative would be to see if their code still runs, or is easily modified to run. (I didn’t look.)
