I’m attempting to merge two guide templates, one for body and one for face.
I get a Keyerror when attempting to build from the merged guide, KeyError: 'face_C0'
I found couple other posts that seems to have similar issue but neither provided any clues in my case.
Guide validation looks okay. Update guide didn’t fix the error. Renaming ‘face_C0’ results in same error with new name. Not sure what I’m missing here, any ideas?
Did you rename it with the rename tool, or manually? If manually, there might be some attributes that still contain the actual old name.
If automatic with the tool, maybe there was a bug and renaming didn’t actually conplete properly?
renamed in shifter component settings panel.
I might have found the issue. one or more of the face components still has reference to old face root name in IK Reference array. will update after I found and updated all of them.
no that wasn’t it… still KeyError on same object. if I take it out of the hierarchy the error moves to next guide object up the chain “neck_C0”
