Uegear for non-Epic rigs

Hi.
I was wondering if it’s possible to export non-Epic rigs from maya to unreal with ueGear.
I have a simple rig made of chain guides and I wanted to covert it into unreal control rig but when I did the control rig didn’t have any controls or nodes and in output log there were several warnings stating that unreal connot find chain components. Then I tried importing a single chain rig and an Epic metahuman rig to look if they also wouldn’t work. Chain rig had the same warning, the Epic metahuman one didn’t.

I assume there’s something crucial I don’t know about uegear or I simply did not notice something in the «ueGear Workflow Overview» video.
