Hey everyone, has anyone here try converting mGear rig to Control Rig in UE4/5? Would like to learn the process of doing so
I’m working on this this month too!
I’m only just starting, but I believe the key is to output Python code that will procedurally build the CR in engine. I haven’t learned if there is a way to actually generate an asset or binary directly.
That’s my impression as well. The only thing that I wasn’t sure is if there’s enough components to rebuild the exact same features as a regular mGear rig. (Though I haven’t really gone through the entire documentation)
