How to export mGear body setup with a MetaHuman template

Hello! I am very new to games/UE and have a few questions.

I imported in Maya a MetaHuman template from Quixel Bridge and successfully snapped a mGear template specific for EPIC MetaHuman.

I managed to import the face animation to Unreal, however I cannot for the life of me import the body animation.

I watched a lot of tutorials and tried exporting the fbx through “DHIbody:root” and also tried “root_drv” which all come from the MetaHuman import.

I used mGear EPIC MetaHuman template and worked fine but still cannot import the anim for the body inUE5.

I watched https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYjq4aRgKWg , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2OWg_wDK7k and many others.

The only thing I don’t use compared to the tutorials is the “Game Exporter” plugin but in theory that should be fine. (unless I’m super wrong!!).

I am aware that I need all joints connected (within one hierarchy) to import the rig well in UE. However the MetaHuman templates from Bridge always have a lot of different joints outside one hierarchy (I am getting the hang of what they mean).

I’ll attach a photo of my current Maya Outliner. The group called “mGear_rig” is just the group I built from the mGear guides.!
