whenever I have to update the Skinning of my character I always have to manually go to perforce and checkout the jSkin/gSkin files in order to export new ones.
I’m using P4GT in maya so, every time I open my character already asks me if I want to checkout the maya file, but I was wondering if is there a option to create a Python script in maya that checkouts the selected geo jSkin files and exports new ones from mgear?
@Miquel I don’t how hard this would be, or if it’s even possible…but a lot of studios (probably just game studios) use Perforce, maybe having some sort of Perforce integration in mGear would be nice?
