Non-spherical eye rig

Hello, I am quite new to mgear.
I have a non-sphrical eyes, really cartoony style.
The regular facial rig tool does the regurlar eyes.

Do you have some ideas to rig theses eyes?
Any help will be welcome!

You could just use blendshapes.

Another alternative is to rig eyes as sphere. Do all your transformations and deformations as a sphere, and then squish them down with an extra cluster or lattice deformation. (Don’t do this if you need this rig for a game-engine.)
