SDK Manager doesnt show Driver Attributes and can be used for other type of controls (not only SDK_controls)

Hi, this is my first time using SDK Manager for a rig where I need this option, and I have a couple of questions:

  1. I’m trying to follow Justin Pedersen’s tutorial, which seems quite straightforward. However, when I load the Driver control, its attributes don’t appear in the Driver Attributes dropdown. What am I doing wrong? I’ve attached a screenshot of the problem.

  1. My second question is whether SDK Manager only works for creating Driven Keys on SDK_Control nodes, or if we could adapt it for use with regular Control nodes (where we’ve previously added SDK groups on top of them). It would be very useful if it could also be used to create Driven Keys, not just for SDK_Control nodes (I’m not sure if that’s possible).

Thanks

Hey! @Llorens

I need to check the tool,if is the latest version of mGear 5.0 or later, maybe there is a bug with the change of pymel with pymaya wrapper.
I am not using this tool myself, so maybe I overlooked something.
Regarding the second question, I need to check. As far I remember is design to use only SDK_controls but I wonder if will work with other components.

Cheers!

Hi Miquel

Yes, the version is Mgear 5.1.0

Have you been able to check what’s wrong with it?

Thanks

@Llorens not yet, I am very busy at the moment, it may take some weeks to check

I have open a ticket for this:

Hi Miquel, sorry, I’m new to the forum and I’m not quite sure how it works yet.

How can I track the progress of the problem, and if it’s resolved, what do I need to do?

Do I have to download and reinstall all of MGEAR 5.2, or is there an easier way to update?

Thanks for your help.

the link is for the ticket on github not in the forum Right now should be fixed but not yet released.
It will be included with mGear 5.2

it will support only 2 types of components the current SDK component and the layered control.
