Spine_ik with arms inside

hi,

i have to rig a spherical character with arms.
since this character has no “head”, i want to use the the spine_ik for the whole body-part because it gives also squash and stretch…
but i am not sure where the arm component should go, so the squash and stretch from the spine also affect the arms…
reparenting the arms to one of the “middle” fk-controllers after building helps for the arms to stay in place when it squashes or stretches, but it does not affect the scaling (squash-stretch)…

does somebody has a hint for such kind of spherical characters with arms, on how to setup the arms in the middle of a spine?

I’ve done something similar to this too. My solution was to parent the limb to a ‘spine_C0_2_scl_ref’ group which I think is under the FK control. That seems to then inherit the scaling too.
